I have thoroughly savored Jesse Q. Sutanto’s latest literary masterpiece, “I’m Not Done With You Yet.” The experience of delving into this novel was nothing short of exquisite; Talia’s story captivated me with its vibrant nuances, and I found myself deeply connected to her journey. Jane’s emotive trajectory was equally enthralling and relatable. Sutanto’s prose is utterly enchanting, crafting a world that, while perhaps not one we would actively seek to be a part of, compels us to explore its intricacies. Her works are imbued with gripping suspense and razor-sharp wit, and this latest offering is no exception.
Having devoured four of Sutanto’s books this year alone, I can confidently declare her as my author of the year. Her masterful plot twists, biting sarcasm, overbearing familial dynamics, and endearing characters (I, for one, fully support Vera for President in 2024) render her works impossible to put down.
In my eyes, she undoubtedly reigns as my top author of 2023.
(queen of twists. period.)
